Round 14: The Terrano Family

Last time in the Terrano household, Minni was still a bad dog, Toby was still a werewolf...Talia became a teen, Toby and Stell became elders, and Milo and Lola left for uni.

With their oldest children away at uni and their youngest soon to follow, Toby and Stella decided that it was time for Stella to join Toby and become a werewolf. It was something that she had wanted since Toby had first been bitten by Meanalous.

They knew that Talia would reject the idea of her mother becoming a werewolf. She had always hated the fact that her father was one, and the two had never had much of a close relationship.

In an attempt to soften the blow, Toby sat Talia down to dinner hoping to talk to her about it. Talia was quiet at dinner...in complete shock that her mother would want to do such a thing.

After having some time to think Talia decided to ask that her parents wait for her to leave for uni, but it was too late.

Stella was a werewolf. But their was a side effect that the couple couldn't have forseen...Stella's alien DNA reacted diffrently than her husbands and turned her into a rather fierce werewolf.

She would go out into Rose Island at night and savage innocent townies.

Spreading what some considered a disease through the city.

At home Stella was just as wild and it put a huge strain on her relationship with Talia.

Since Talia had never been close to her father and feeling like she no longer had her mother sent her into a downward spiral.

Feeling completely alone in her own home made Talia want to run...one night she did.

Though it was short lived, Toby immediately contacted the police and his daughter was found the next evening.

Not knowing how to repair the relationship with his daughter, and knowing she would run again if given the chance, Toby agreed to her request to leave early for college.

So the next night she left to join her siblings at university...

Feeling confused and defeated, Stella couldn't help but worry for the fate of her family...had she made a mistake becoming a werewolf? How had she not seen that it would drive her daughter away and threaten to tear her family apart...but could she cure herself...and how?

Accomplishments this round: Stella becomes a werewolf, Talia runs away is returned and leaves for uni.

Round 14: Aiden and Sharon Cipriani

Last week in Aiden and Sharon's house the boys were accepted to private school, Falco the bird joined the family, Aiden was demoted due to a bad chance card, Wes dated neighbor Rochelle Bratford, reched teen TOC, and left for uni, Jeremy became a teen, and also reached his teen TOC, Sharon became an elder.

Winter rolled in this week and the family added a roof to their outdoor kennel for the dogs. And speaking of dogs...

Cinnamon had two more pups that and that meant that the two pups in the house had to go to good homes. Sharon could not find a home for them...they were sent to the adoption pool.

It was sad to see them go that way, but with the family so busy...it was the only option.

Jeremy was busy with his budding romance with Melanie.

So much so that he neglected his responsibility for Falco...he had spent so much time with his girlfriend and preparing for college that he had forgotten to feed the poor bird.

Distraught about his neglegence, Jeremy found comfort talking with his dad and soon left for uni.

With their sons off to college, Aiden and Sharon rekindled their whirlwind romance. Aiden showered his wife with gifts and the two spent alot of time together.

Aiden reached his LTW and second TOC.

And when the next two pups were ready to leave the nest, Sharon had found a home for them. With just two pups left in her LTW, she was looking forward to some peace and quiet.

Accomplishments this round: Sharon raises four more pups bringing her to 18 out of 20 for her LTW, Jeremy goes steady with Melanie, Falco the bird passes away, Jeremy leaves for uni, Aiden reaches TOC #2 and fills his LTW.

Round 14: The Bratford Family

Last week in the Barthalet household, Rochelle became a teen and found love with the neighbor Wes, Posie also found love tho was not as settled as her sister and ended up getting busted while sneaking out, Rochelle got teen TOC, Posie moved to uni, and Scarlet and Monica worked together on Scarlet's IW of earning 100,000 simoleans.

This week the Bratford residence was rather quiet. Teenager Rochelle was preparing for uni by skilling and studying. But she had not forgotten her high school sweetheart Wes. He had left for uni, but Rochelle could not get him out of her head.

So she invited him over to talk. Nervous that he had found new love at college, Rochelle was assured after spending only a few moments with him. Wes was waiting for her.

Scarlet was busy trying to reach her LTW of earning 100,000 simoleans. She decided that the best way to make money was to write novels and sell paintings. Though she had worked all her life in the sports track, she was rather creative and could make good money that way.

In addition to helping her wife earn simoleans, Monica spent time with her daughter as much as possible before she left for college.

At the end of the week Rochelle packed up and headed off to uni.

Round 14: The Jayapalan Family

Last week in the Jayapalan household, Daryl passed away, Gared and Genevieve became children, Marriah retired, Elise had twins Isadora and Anastacia who grew to toddlers.

This week, the family needed a home that could accomidate their rapid growth so they decided to completely rebuild.

Settling into their new home, Rob and Elise felt the pull to expand their family even more. The halls that were once crowded and noisy now echoed a bit more....even with four kids running around. Deciding to seize the moment, Rob and Elise call to adopt their fifth child.

They adopted a toddler daughter named Jamie. She was sweet and energetic...the perfect fit for the family she was now a member of.

Grandma Marriah was still around to help care for her grandchildren, and her help was invaluable to Rob and Elise. They were able to work while Marriah stayed home to look after the little ones.

With a such a full house, a birthday was never far away...there was a slew of them this week...

Unfortunately, in such a busy household, the passing of dear sweet founder Marriah was nearly missed. She is gone, but will not be forgotten by her family.

With her mother now gone, then spending time with her close friend Ruby, Elise had another void that she longed to fill. She and Rob had discussed adopting just one more child.

The fact that Ruby was expecting made Elise long for another child even more. So she discussed it with Rob and they agreed to adopt just one more child.

This time, the family opted to adopt a child named Sharla. She wasn't the son that Rob had in mind, but that didn't matter, she was full of spunk...another perfect fit for the Jayapalan clan.

At the end of the week it was time to see their teenagers off to college. See you two at uni!

Rob reached TOC in the athletic career and at the same time got his LTW.

Round 14: Miles and Ruby Cipriani

Last week at Miles and Ruby Cipriani's house, Miles and Ruby were married and welcomed their first child together, a son named Christiaan who later became a toddler, Miles became an elder, and Thomas and Laurana headed off to uni.

Sensing that something was worrying his wife, Miles tried cheering Ruby up. He knew that she had been thinking alot about how much time they had left together, and he couldn't blame her. He had been thinking alot about the same thing. The last thing he wants to do is leave his family. To get her mind off of things, he told her to head out to her favorite shop Cold Issue Clothing, and that he would stay with Christiaan. With a wink he told her to pick up something special, and that she would need it for the opening of the new club in town on Friday night.

Shopping always helped get her mind off of things. She couldn't believe that Miles wanted to go to the club opening. She knew it was not something that interested him. Between running his businesses and working as a General, Miles was usually (and understandably) too tired to go out much. But she was sure he would love the outfit she had chosen for their special night out.

Ruby wanted nothing more than to make this a special occasion for her husband. Little did she know that he had already decided to make it special for her as well. Without telling his wife, Miles had purchased club Calypso. He had been spending what little time he had to get everything in order for the grand opening, and he could hardly wait to tell her.

But first they had a birthday celebration. It was time for Christiaan to become a child.

Unable to keep it to himself, Miles reviels the news to Ruby that he had purchased club Calypso for her.

In shock and disbelief, Ruby didnt know what to say. Miles had always been a great man who did everything for her, but this time he had fullfilled a dream that she had never thought possible. She wouldn't inherit any of the other businesses, as they would rightfully go to his oldest daughter Gwen, but Calypso was hers.

Miles had spent time talking with Gwen about the other businesses, and as soon as she graduated from Academe Le Bloom, she would assume ownership of all four.

Ruby and Gwen had never gotten along, and though it was something that Ruby could understand having moved in not long after Gwen's mother's death, it was not something she questioned. All she had ever wanted was Miles, not the things that he owned, or even his money...all of it was a bonus to the love she and Miles shared.

As the days passed, Miles became weaker and more tired. His age and all of his hard work was catching up with him. There were even times that Ruby had to step in and help out at the shops.

Luckily Miles had hired great staff for all of the businesses, and Ruby even had the pleasure of promoting her friend Shaunna to manager of the Toy Shop. (Rank 9)

As the opening of Calypso drew nearer, Ruby worried that Miles would be too tired to join her. Thinking that it would help, she ordered a jug of a special juice, touted as "Elixir of Life", the juice promised to add days to ones life. Hoping to prove to Miles that it was their ticket to a longer life together, Ruby drank a big glass herself.

She felt great. Life surged through her and she felt better than she had in a long while. Immediately she wanted have another glass, but she reminded herself that she had gotten it for Miles. Stepping aside she hoped that he would get the same great, refreshing feeling.

But when Miles drank it, it had a negative effect. In fact, it may have taken days off of his life. Instantly he wanted the foul substance out of his house. As she watched him suffer, Ruby was hurt, confused, and ever so worried for her husband. All she could thinkg was that the Elixir had felt amazing...she helped herself to one more quick glass before she dumped the rest into the sink.

The big night had arrived, and as she had suspected, Miles was too ill to go. Opting to stay home and relax over a night of drinking and dancing, Miles said goodbye to his wife. Ruby reluctantly left her husband and headed for the club.

Nervous and excited, Ruby arrived at the club and everything was in full swing. She couldn't believe that it was all hers. Miles had set it up to run like his other businesses, like a well oiled machine. She had a full staff of fabulous employees and had nothing to worry about adside from having a great time.

She was missing Miles and drinking a bit too much. After a long night of partying with friends, Ruby found herself being carried to her car by her close friend Milo Terrano. Thanking him, she handed him the keys to her car and he took her home. The night had been a success, everything had gone perfectly...or so she thought.

Not long after the opening, Ruby started to feel ill. She wondered if the Elixir was to blame, but soon she was showing signs of pregnancy.

Elated, the possibility of another child had energized Miles. Even Christiaan was excited at the idea of a brother or a sister. Instead of worrying about the future, they started welcoming it again.

Accomplishments this round: Miles purchases Calypso night club for Ruby, Christiaan is a child, Ruby is pregnant.

Round 14: Sharpe Family

This is a new house...sort of...the last update was round 12 when Ben Cipriani (sole caretaker of his late fiance's illegitimate child Eden Sharpe) passed away and young Eden went off to university. As a player I am not sure of the rules on this pirticular issue, but am not going to stress, she is the heiress to the house, so she is getting the house (including the previous spot in the rotation).

You may remember the hosue looking something like this when Eden left for uni...

When she returned, she had the funds to expand the house. This was the result...

And tho more upgrades were planned for the future, the new layout allowed for a more updated and spacious feel.

It had been a while since Eden had been home and she did not realize how much she had missed it until she returned. First and foremost, she powered up her servo Zola and greeted her warmly. It was time to get settled in.

When everything was unpacked, Eden was exhausted, but she spent a minute before bed talking to Ben. Well, not actually to Ben, but to his painting. It was the closest thing she had to her father as his ashes had been sent to the cemetary when she left for college although she could feel his presence in the house watching over her and she was thankful for that.

The next morning Eden invited her hubby-to-be over for his first visit to what would be the home that they were planning to spend the rest of thier lives together in.

The week went along failry normally, Eden got a job in the Education field and was really enjoying being a teacher.

She spent most nights with Joel, he claimed he did not mind the commute from umiversity, so the two spent as much time together as possible planning for their wedding.

She even got a new hair do, a slight change, but it was the first time she had changed her look in years.

So it seemed that everything was just going to go smoothly up to the wedding, that is until...

Eden had not been feeling well for a while, chalking it up to a cold, she thought nothing of it. But when she came home from work one afternoon she knew that this couldn't be the flu.

When she was confirmed preganant, she and Zola made the call to Joel to break the news.

Thrilled at the unexpected turn of events, Joel rushed over to Eden's side.

Eden tried to relax through her pregnancy and actually found the down time very effective for skilling.

She was lucky to have the help and support of Zola.

And Joel made sure he was around as much as possible.

When the time came, the couple was blessed with a beautiful blonde haired daughter they named Courtney (also the first generation 4 baby in Rose Island!).

Soon, Joel would be back from college and Eden had Zola as an extra pair of hands until then. But she was glad for a few days "alone" with her daughter. For once she realized how hard it had been, and at the same time how wonderful for Ben when he raised her all on his own.

Round 14: Owen and Kendal

Last week in Owen and Kendal's house Lolly the pup joined the family, Owen became and elder, Starla passed away, Owen got his LTW and TOC, Josie and Joel moved to college.

This week, Owen and Kendal are all alone in their house for the very first time. Though neither of them like it much that way and both miss their twins and their noise and mischief more than ever. And when we get to the house, there is no peace to be had as a birthday party for Kendal is underway...

And after a quick makeover...

Reaching that time in their lives, Owen decided he would retire. He spent most of his time hanging out at the house and playing with Lolly and playing poker.

Kendal also retired, but not before reaching her TOC/LTW of becoming a professional pary guest. She then decided to put herself to work full time at Cafe Petite, the quaint shop she had purchased years before.

She put what little funds they had into a long overdue remodel.

And even hired a helper, a sweet young gal named Jenna.

Business was really booming for the first time since Kendal had bought the shop and she really enjoyed watching her little shop grow.

Back at home Kendal and Owen took it easy for a few days...the highlight of which was this all night card game with Owen's brother Aiden and his wife Sharon.

And at the end of the week they had a little get together to celebrate their golden anniversary.

Durring which Starla's spirit thought it a good time to come out and scare everyone, but it couldn't damper the happy mood.

The couple enjoyed their time alone and prepared for the return of their daughter Josie (heir to the household) the following week.

Round 14: Barthalet Family

Last week in the Barthalet household the family adopted child #8 and 9 Jack and Melanie, Madeline became a child and then a teen, Audry, Abram and Michael became teens, Joseph and Sophia became elders, Abram had a brush with death and was saved by his mother, and Audry and Abram left for uni.

This week started with the family reaching a huge milestone. They adopted their 10th child, toddler Thomas fullfilling Sophia's IW.

Sophia thought that diapers and bottles were behind her, but when she met Thomas, he charmed he so that she couldn't imagine not adding him to thier family and she was glad that she did.

Little Jack had made a friend in neighbor Elsa Cedar. And it was no wonder he was starting to take an intrest in the girls...

It was time for his birthday!

Jack quickly took a job in the medical field and soon reached TOC in his teen career.

It wasn't long until she had her first kiss with townie Kennedy Day...but unsure how serious she wanted to get was soon onto another boy the next day.

They also shared their very first kiss.

The round in this house was rather wild. As a player I have never had this many sims in one house. The residents worked on relationships, but not nearly as many as previous houses.

Lola had two of the 20 woohoos that her LTW called for.

Claire added to her LTW by eating her 35th grilled chees sandwhich...200 seems so far away!

Mostly, they could be found all around campus recruiting new pledges!

These two had a fairly quiet week, keeping their grades up and trying to meet Mr. and Mrs Right.

Abram had no problems, he met Priya Ramaswami and the two had instant chemistry. A few more dates and these two may just be a love match! (players note: I added Priya as a townie after breaking she and her maxis made hubby Sanjay).

Audry did not have as much luck as her brother. She had to skrimp and save to afford a decent blind date from the matchmaker.

It was all worth it when she was paired up with Zack Sartor. He was hot, and the two have a THREE bolt attraction! This is defenitly a relationship Audry will be exploring further through her next couple semesters at university.

And that concludes the massive uni update. Next round we will welcome Eden Sharpe, Fiona Barthalet, and Olivia Barthalet back to Rose Island. We will catch up with the rest of the students next round!

Eden and Joel were simply happy to have been reunited in college and to find that they both felt the same regardless of their small age diffrence. Their time at uni was pretty uneventful...

...aside from Joel's proposal.

And of course she said yes! The two are planning a wedding for after Joel graduates. In the mean time, Eden is going to move back to the island and get settled in a house while she waits for him.

If you read last round's uni update, you know that Olivia was madly in love (3 bolts) with none other than Mr. Hottness himself, Andy England.

They seemed a match made in sim heaven...both pleasure sims, the three bolt attraction...what could go wrong?

Another pleasure sim moved in...also with a three both attraction to Andy. Everything seemed fine, Josie and Andy managed to avoid eachother until a friendly hug hello went a bit too far for Olivia's taste.

At the end, Olivia got her butt kicked and her heart broken.

What Olivia didn't predict was Andy's reaction to her over reaction. He was fuming mad at her for being so over protective of him. It was just a hug after all. So, Instead if moving in with Andy after college, Olivia would have to make other plans.

I happier news at Rosewood, Fiona's long time beau Almeric Davis decided to propose.

The two are set to be married in her parents back yard next round.

Last time through University we saw the founding of a new dorm, Rosewood Girls Dormitory where all three of our university students for round 12 resided. There were no graduates last round, but the three students from last round will be earning their degrees this time (Eden Sharpe, Fiona Barthalet, and Olivia Barthalet). This round we have several new additions to the campus.

The first house of several is a private residence occupied by Posie Bratford and Laurana Cipriani.

These two came to college the best of friends...

Posie's LTW calls for 20 simultaneous loves, so she thought it best to get as many of the loves as possible lined up in uni. She did pretty well...her current loves are as follows:

And this is where things get sticky...you see, Thomas is Laurana's brother. Things are fine when Posie and Thomas are together, but...

...the minute Posie moved on to #9 Laurana had a fit. I guess she wasn't keen on Posie cheating on her brother. Oops! So posie tried to keep the next few under wraps.

But eventually things came to a head between she and Laurana...

It was a knock down drag out fight which Laurana won. So, tail between her legs, Posie moved into her own place.

It was right at the end of their sophmore years, so they would finish their college experience as enimies rather than the best of friends.

Round 13: Taylor Family

Last week in the Taylor household Ava and Gerard made it official and got hitched, Ava used the renu-u orb to change her aspiration to fortune, Wlla became a teen, Ava got a perfect garden score, Arryn was born.

*pulsing pop music radiates from the garage*

Willa, still with her heart set on becoming a pop princess, devotes several hours of her day to practicing in the garage with her coveted karaoke machine. She has gotten signifigantly better and plans to take the world by storm...after she graduates college that is. She would soon be on her way to uni, and wanted to get as much mic time as possible. There were rumors that the coffee house on campus had open mic nights and she wanted to be prepared.

Because hers was the only bedroom in the house besides her parents, she had been forced to share a room with her baby brother Arryn. At first she had fought against it, but soon had become used to the little diaper filler. It bummed her out that she would miss being around while he grew up.

Things were also continuing just fine with David, but Willa was a woman of opportunity. She informed David that she would not be able to continue their relationship once they left for uni, but that it had been fun while it lasted.

And then the day...actually, night...came when she had to leave.

With Willa gone, the house was much quieter. Little Arryn was all set to grow up, and in an effort to keep things low key, Gerard and Ava had a private celebration.

And then the exremely unexpected happened...Gerard lost his job due to a bad chance card. He was worried about breaking the news to Ava as they had only just been able to afford some remodeling and decorating in their new home. Now he worried he would have to take it all back...

When he broke the news to her he was already in tears.

She didn't take it well. Little did Gerard know that she had also recieved news that morning...she was pregnant AGAIN...she hadn't thought it possible, but it was true. That news on top of Gerard coming home having lost his job sent her over the edge.

Instead of sinking into the couch in front of the tv, Gerard took iniative to spend more time with Arryn and help in any way he could around the house until he found another position. Fortunately the job hunt didn't take too long, but they were still hurting for funds...especially with a third baby on the way.

Reluctant until now to give her wishing well a chance, Ava had no choice. She needed her wish granted.

Luckily it worked! They needed a little extra money to get buy, pay the bills, and buy groceries and viola! A thousand simoleans fell at Ava's feet.

When Gerard got home that night Ava appologized for her past outburst and explained what had happened with the wishing well. Now the two could relax and plan for their new arrival.

Round 13: Cedar Family

Last week in the Cedar household was our first visit to the house. Franz and Cosette got settled into their new life together, and Cosette gave birth to their first child Elsa who transitioned to a toddler at the end of the week.

This week the young family is still finding their footing simolean wise, but were lacking nothing in love.

It was getting close to birthday time for little Elsa, so Cosette decided to throw a little party for her.

Happy Birthday Elsa! You sure are a beauty.

Cosette and Franz were still madly in love.

They couldn't keep their hands off of eachother the entire week. With risky woohoo installed you know what that means...

It wasn't long before Cosette confirmed that she was carrying their second child.

After an unfortunate chance card set back, Franz started to go up through the criminal ranks and was close to his TOC. The family was starting to save up money, and with another little one on the way they would have to expand. The humble two bedroom home would not hold the growing family for long.

The family struggled a bit with Elsa's mean streak. But with the help of her dad, she was a successfully encouraged from just two nice points to a whopping nine! (**players note: I have never encouraged before, but found it extremely effective by having Franz encourage nicesness several times and before long Elsa had gained several nice points!)

Cosette was a very active sim who enjoyed working out, even when pregnant! She went into labor durring one of her afternoon yoga sessions.

The couple's second daughter, Sarina Cedar, arrived to great fanfare from her proud papa.

With Sarina born, Cosette got back to work and started raking in the dough. The couples plans to expand the house would definitly happen next week thanks to their tireless efforts.

Round 13: Trey and Paige Cipriani

Last week in Trey and Paige's house the couple were married in a lovely backyard ceremony. Trey reached his LTW (TOC in the slacker career), Paige had twins Iris and Adam who grew up to toddlers. Trey took a second career in the music field.

As you can see, Trey and Paige decided to remodel the house. They had the money and decided that it was time to expand. Unfortunately there is no shots of the backyard, but these pics shows off the second level sun room, a unique feature of their lovely new house.

A special visitor decided to pop by. None other than Paige's dog Mushi. Paige adopted Mushi from her now sister in law Sharon Cipriani in her Round 11 update. Unfortunately since Paige was a townie at the time, Mushi was plopped into the stray pets pool and had only come by a couple of times since Paige had moved in with Trey.

Luckily by now, Paige had a high enough relationship with the little mutt to adopt her. Finally, Mushi was home!

So they had some behavior issues to work through, but the family couldn't have been happier to welcome Mushi into their lives.

Since the kids were grown and heading off to school, Paige decided that it was time to get them into private school.

Due to hectic work schedules, the family was forced to hire nanny Theresa Flieg. Everyone was pleasantly surprised when she actually did a remarkable job.

Paige brought home a big bonus of 75,000 Simoleans thanks to a favorable chance card!

Trey brought home Charlie Lostaway from my lost challenge and decided to have an outing with him, hoping to learn a thing or two from him.

Trey did not get any skills or a promotion out of Charlie, but he did end up surprising the family with a phenomenal flat screen tv.

Round 13: Hart Family

Last week in the Hart household Betsy gave birth to natural twin boys Dante and Randal who grew into toddlers and then to children, Betsy and Matthew were busy parents both holding their own jobs, running the flower shop, tending to the garden, and raising the boys.

Round 13: Aiden and Sharon Cipriani

Last week in Aiden and Sharon's house Sharon sold more of her dogs bringing her total to 10 out of 20 towards her LTW. Aiden reached TOC in the paranormal field and decided to go into the education field as a second career. Jeremy became a toddler and then a child, Wes became a teen, and Aiden became an elder.

With both of the boys at school age, Adien and Sharon decide to invite headmaster Blair Mccarthy over and the boys are accepted into private school.

And since the family seemed to have the mutual want for a bird, and I thought the boys deserved something for getting into private school, Falco joined the family.

Two more additions to the family came the same night, two pups Giggles and Wiggles.

Round 13: The Bratford Family

Last week in the Bratford household, Ava Cipriani moved out with the father of her daughter Willa and was married to him creating a new household. Scarlet and Monica adopted their second child, a daughter named Rochelle. Posie became a teen, Monica and Scarlet became elders. And Scarlet reaced her LTW as a hall of fame athlete.

Round 13: Jayapalan Family

Last week in the Jayapalan household Rob and Elise were married and welcomed twins Genevieve and Gared who then became toddlers, Rob got a job in the athletic track, Daryl retired, Cosette and Franz were married and moved out into their own home.

With a growing family and a lack of space on the lot, the family was forced to expand upward. They added a third story with a couple of bedrooms and a bathroom. They also added a nice sized garden in the back which was Marriah's pride and joy.

The round starts with a surprise.

Elise is pregnant again thanks to risky woohoo...I had no idea that she had even gotten pregnant again when I left them last round, but we gotta roll with the punches!

Luckily the twins are about to become fairly self sufficient children as their birthday party was planned for later that evening.

Daryl pitched in and tried to get the kids fed and ready for their birthday when the unexpected happened.

Grimmy comes calling for my dear Daryl. I had not realized that his time was so near, so this was a bit of a shock. The family took it prety hard, but they still had a couple of birthdays to celebrates and they all knew that Daryl would have wanted them to carry on.

After putting him in a suitable resting place, the family had nothing to do but to go on with the birthdays.

The celebration was somber as the families thoughts were still on Daryl.

After the loss of her husband, Marriah struggled with depression.

So she poured herself into her gardening...

...and into her grandchildren. With another one on the way Marriah wanted to make sure she was there to help Elise and Rob as much as possible.

So she decided to retire from her day job.

And ensure that she would be around to see the birth of her next grandchild.

And it was almost time for the baby to make it's apperance. The whole house was a buzz with excitement for the arrival of the surprise baby.

Elise went into labor and had a little girl, but once she had her the pain started again. Having had Genevieve and Gared she knew what this meant.

And the family lovingly welcomed their new set of twin girls Anastacia and Isadora.

With Marriah's loving attention to the new babies and Genevieve and Gared in school full time, Elise finally found time to go to work.

She got a job in education and was excited to be working for the first time since college.

Round 13: Miles Cipriani

Last week in Miles Cipriani's house tragedy struck when his wife and the mother of his children Sarah was squashed to death by a falling satalite, Miles fell into a deep depression and was brought back to reality by the help of his mother Nancy, Nancy later passed away of old age, Miles ran into his real estate office secratary Ruby Cedar and the two had dinner which led to a bearing of souls and the two realized a love that was never before possible, Laurana became a teen, Miles reached TOC, Ruby moved in, and Gwen left for university.

Things in this house have been in a kind of whirlwind lately what with Sarah's unexpected passing, and Ruby moving in. Thomas and Laurana, Mile's middle and youngest children, had taken to Ruby and loved having her around. Mile's oldest Gwen on the other hand, had serious doubts about Ruby. And though she had left for uni, she had made sure that Ruby knew how she felt before going.

Ruby had tried to make amends with Gwen, explaining to her that she loved her father, and that she never wanted to take the place of her mother. That her intentions were only to be her friend. But by the time the taxi arrived to take Gwen to Uni, Ruby was done. She was tired of being berated and insulted by a teenager when she had wanted nothing but to make things better between them. Though it hurt her to see Gwen leave while feeling this way about her, she was happy to see her go...maybe in time they could build a relationship.

Knowing that things had been difficult from all angles, Miles had tried to play peacemaker. He was glad that his oldest child was headed off to get a higher education, but he was saddened that she had not had the time to get to know Ruby and to understand their relationship was based on real love, not money, or lonliness.

By the time he got home, he was too late. Gwen had already left. But Miles was not to late for something else he had been waiting to do. He told Ruby he had something that he needed to ask her about.

And then he got down on one knee and proposed. Ruby was speechless...not because she did not want to marry Miles, but more so that they had discussed it and Miles had not been ready to get married again. Though the rock in that little box told a different tale.

As soon as she could get the word out she shouted yes and lept into his arms.

The two then celebrated their engagment privately.

Ruby really had gone out of her way to make things comfortable for the kids.

She wasn't working at the time as Miles refused to allow her to continue as his secretary and insisted instead that she was his business partner, but she was not allowed to start until after the wedding.

So she had alot more free time to spend relaxing and enjoying life...and that is exactly what she did.

Miles on the other hand was hard at work keeping his businesses in line and maintaing his position as a general in the Rose Island Armed Forces.

But he had an excellent staff at each business that he owned and through his motivational work style, Miles kept everything running smoothly.

Before long, the big day had arrived.

The couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony with just a few close friends and family.

Due to the amount of major events in the house, I nearly missed this important birthday!

He went into the bathroom as an adult...

...and came out an elder...LOL!

But that doesn't end the big news for this family.

Ruby was expecting!

The family welcomed a beautiful baby boy they named Christiaan.

Miles and his new son were nearly inseperable.

When Miles went missing, Ruby always knew where to look for him. He stood in Christiaan's room at his crib side lovingly watching his son sleep. Sure, he had three older children, but he had never dreamed of a fourth. The fact that he could have gone through everything he had been through in his life recently and be where he was at now, simply amazed him. And little Christiaan was living proof of this.

Miles was just as proud of a father of his older children. Laurana had taken a job in business, and had gotten off to a rocky start, but eventually she made it to the top!

And Thomas out of all the kids was closest to Ruby.

Those two spent every morning getting in an hour of cartoon network together.

Round 13: Owen and Kendal Cipriani

Last week in this house Josie and Joel became teens, Josie was a skilling machine, Kendal purchased a community lot business (Cafe Petite), Joel found love in the girl next door Eden Sharpe, and Ben and Starla spent some of their last days together.

Here is a look at the house front and back post seasons. I added a pond for fishing and a green house for gardening.

Meet Lolly, the families new pet. Starla purchased her from her daughter in law Sharon Cipriani. So far she is fitting in nicely...unlike Minnie the monster dog who came from the same parents and joined the Terrano family in round 11.

It's that time again...

Happy Birthday Owen!

With her oldest son now an elder, Starla had to face that she was in her last days. So, instead of getting down, she got a makeover!

She looked and felt better than ever at 80 days old! So she decided to do something that she had only ever considered doing...

...she spent the day with her daughter in law Kendal. Sounds silly, I know, but Starla had never been completely comfortable with Kendal seeing as she was once a vampiress, and being older and set in her ways Starla had a hard time accepting that about Kendal.

Their first stop was at Kendal's cafe. The two thought that it would be fun to make some stock for the bakery items.

Kendal manned the register while Starla busied herself in the kitchen.

Kendal took to tidying up and closing the shop and let Starla spend time with her friends and family that had stopped in to shop that afternoon.

The next thing they did together was to join the garden club. Starla had worked hard at growing fruits and veggies, encouraging the whole family to get involved.

And after a thourough inspection from the garden club officials Starla was accepted as a member...though she did not win the highest honor of a perfect garden, she had a decent score, and it was all that mattered to her.

It was only a couple of days later after she returned home for work when grim came to her.

Of course this devistated the family, though they knew that it was her time, she would still be missed.

Then, right on the heels of Starla's passing, Owen's loyal companion the families golden retriever Dolly passed of old age as well.

Struggling with the loss of two family members, Owen became depressed and introverted. He spent his time fishing in the pond and tending to his mother's garden.

But his spirits began to lift when he came home from work with a promotion to top of his career earning him his LTW and perma plat status for the rest of his lifetime.

As for the teens in the house, Joel and Josie were your typical teens.

With his girlfriend Eden already away at college, Joel spent alot of time on the phone with her.

Josie was still on the quest for her first dream date.

And by the end of the week both were headed off to university.

Round 13: Barthalet Family

Last week in the Barthalet household it was a busy week! Olivia transitioned to a teen, Sophia gave burth to her final natural child Madeline, Sophia finally found some time for herself and spent it working at her mothers furniture store, twins Audry and Abram became children, Madeline became a toddler, Fiona and Olivia headed off to university, the family adopted a child named Michael, Claire became a teen and at the same time the first and only Grilled Cheese sim on the island.

This picture makes the house look so quiet and peaceful, when in actuallity it is one of the most hectic homes in the neighborhood. Let's find out what they have been up to this round.

The first thing tha family did was welcome their eighth child Jack.

Unfortunately Jack did not take to his new family very well at first. Sophia and Joseph were eperienced parents and knew that it would be difficult for someone Jack's age to adjust. Luckily after a little time and attention Jack found his new family acceptable.

Then it was time once again for one of the most usual occurence in this house...birthday time!

Okay, I somehow missed documenting alot of Madeline's life (the poor thing) I have zero pics of her as a child and she actually transitioned at the tail end of the previous week, regardless, after sifting through photos I found this! And this is here to acknowledge her transition. It is this 10 kid IW...I must say it is really busy in this house, though it is no excuse.

After grilling several cheese sandwhiches, Claire decided it was time to head to college and try to meet some people with similar intrests. The only member of her family that would give her the time of day was Michael.

He was always willing to trade tales of grilled cheese. But he was the only one, and Claire was ready to meet some people her own age that shared her interests.

So off to uni she went.

In honor of summer, the family decided to revamp their pool and it was fun for all.

The pool made it hard to keep the kids inside to do their homework, but somehow they managed.

And at the end of the week we see Audry and Abram of to college.

Accomplishments this round: Family adopts children #8 and #9 Jack and Melanie, Claire moves to college, Audry and Abram are teens and both leave for uni, Bosco passes away, Sophia and Joseph are elders, Michael and Madeline are teens.

Round 12: University

Last round in University Elise and Cossette Jayapalan graduated levaing only a place holder in the greek house, and so far university has been a pretty quiet place for Rose Isalnd. With only a few sims at a time attending. Well, it seems that this may be the last round of quiet in Uni (due to an estimated 15 uni students for round 13), lets enjoy it while it lasts!

We have three students this time around, all females, and all of them were accepted into the new dormitory on campus. Rosewood Girls Dormitory. Recently Rosewood House (which has always been a part of the campus at Academie Le Bloom) was donated to the school and was made into a special dorm for the female students.

Lets meet the residents...

Eden Sharpe

History Major - GPA 4.0

Freshman and Sophmore year completed

Eden, now alone in the world aside from her absent deadbeat of a biological father, was just looking to find out who she was in university through her first two years. Shy and uncertain, Eden spent most of her time with her nose in her books.

She also had an intrest in flower aranging and spent her spare hours at the flower bench crafting unique and beautiful boquets.

Eden had not opened herself up to dating as she was still smitten over a boy who was (at the moment) too young for her. Her highschool boyfirend Joel Cipriani. He was set to come to uni at the end of her second year and she was waiting...not so patiently...for him to join her at Uni.

Finoa was the oldest of nine (going on 10) children and she was happier than words could express to be in college. The dorm was far quieter than her crazy house and she was a sim that appreciated the quiet moments in life. She had dreams of becoming a school teacher one day so she studied hard.

But then she met him. Almeric Davis, a fellow student and regular stud muffin (according to Fiona). The two hit it off and before long were dating exclusively.

He was her first date, first kiss, first official boyfriend. Fiona was on cloud nine when she was with Almeric and she knew that she had found the man she hoped to one day marry and start a family with.

Fiona and Eden, over time, became best friends. The girls had played together as children and had never lost touch. Living together at college had always been a dream for both of them.

Olivia, the second of 9 (going on 10) children was easily overlooked. University was something that her parents had insisted she do. And it was not an easy time for her. Olivia was yet to figure out exactly who she was and what she wanted from life. She loved music, and changing her hair color. She feared rejection (as most do) and had trouble commiting to things.

She was awesome at the drums. She had even convinced the other girls to play together once a week in the afternoons.

They all were improving tremendously...now if Olivia could only convice them to play at a gig with her.

She left the fate of her love life in the hands of the matchmaker and ended up with alot of sour grapes, that is until she met Andy England...

He was handsome...scratch that...he was drop dead gorgeous and she shared the coveted three bolt chemistry with him.

She shared her first kiss with him and was smitten.

The Rosewood girls also shared some time with eachother.

They loved fishing in the pond on cool fall mornings.

And sharing gossip over hot cocoa when it got too cold to fish any longer. Over all these three had a great first two years at uni together. Next year the dorm would expand to include more girls and they would no longer have the luxury of being the only three in the gorgeous and sprawling facility.

Round 12: Taylor Family

This marks our first visit to the Taylor household (as this is a new house this round). Earlier this round in the Bratford household Ava and her daughter Willa moved out to start a new life with Willa's father Gerard Taylor. After years of denying her feelings for Gerard, Ava gave in to her heart, the two were engaged and moved into their new home together.

Ava had always been concered about starting a commited relationship with Gerard for a couple of reasons. The first was that she was a romance sim...a sim who loved many but was in love with none. Second, thier age diffrence concerned her. Gerard was much younger than she. He had been in college still when she had become pregnant with Willa, and was now just coming into adulthood. But Ava, being the strong willed woman she is, had overcome the age diffrence...all of those problems melted away with one look at Gerard.

The most obvious benefit of the move was that Willa got to be with her father. And the two spent alot of time getting to know eachother...all the while growing closer. But Willa wasn't going to be daddy's little girl for much longer.

Her father got her a birthday gift ehich she described as "the best gift, like, EVER". It was her very own karaoke machine for her room. Gerard was just happy that he had Willa in his life...he wanted to nurture her in any way he could, and he thought that the gift was fitting seeing as she dreamed of becoming a musician.

He also gave her a little money and the keys to the car so that she could shop for a new outfit.

And after a quick makeover, Willa had found a look that she loved. Eat your heart out Avril Lavigne!

Since she wanted to earn some extra money, Ava tried her hand at cosmetology. She opened up a little business on her front porch and started giving hair cuts and makeovers to her neighbors.

But as it turned out, cosmetology just wasn't Ava's thing...she ended up making more people unhappy than the other way around.

On the other hand, Willa was a natural with the sheers and kept her mother's meanger business afloat with several loyal customers.

Deciding to finally make it official was a special moment for Ava and Gerard. They had no large celebration, instead the couple opted to exchange rings and vows.

The two love birds settled in to the rest of their lives together, ready to face anything.

Disapointed in herself for the failure of her hair cutting veture, Ava decided to branch out and try something new. Always one to take things head on, she planted a rather ambitious garden.

Everything was finally fitting into place. Ava discovered that she really loved gardening and devoted alot of her time to it.

But she was losing sleep at night...resteless and feeling ill, Ava wondered if she might be pregnant again.

She was too old for this, or so she would say. Technically she was still of childbearing age and risky woohoo does not discriminate.

After some time...

...Ava came to terms with the fact that she was pregnant again and decided she needed to freshen up her style. She had made alot of changes recently...big changes. But she had yet to accept them in her mind. Since she had, she found that she was even happier than she ever thought possible.

Feeling ambitious and confident in her garden, Ava decided to join the garden club.

After a thurough and nerve racking review, Ava's garden was awarded a perfect score.

As a reward, Ava was given a wishing well to decorate her already impressive landscape. She was unsure of it at first and decided it best to leave the strange well alone despite the urge she had to make a wish in it...

Willa, working towards a life long career in music, got a job in the music track and was quickly promoted through the ranks until she reached TOC for the teen career. And while working she met a boy that she really liked.

His name was David Ottomas and he shared her love of music.

The two had several dates and were soon a steady pair.

Round 12: Cedar Family

This marks our first visit to the Cedar household. Franz and Cosette Cedar were married at Cosette's parents house (Daryl and Marriah) earlier this round. There is not much to say about these two yet, other than their love started as a teenage crush. Cosette has loved Franz from the moment she laid eyes on him, and once she entered college she discovered that he shared her feelings. The rest is yet to be...

Franz and Cosette did not have much money to begin with, but managed to have a cute little house constructed for them to start their lives in. But before we start, lets get to know Franz...

Fortune - LTW - Become Criminal Mastermind

A truer defenition of newlywed bliss cannot be found. These two were practically inseperable aside from having to go to work. Cosette was furthering her career in the military and Franz was working through the criminal ranks.

Excited at the prospect of a family, Franz brought up the possibility of having a baby. They had just been married and were still settling into their new home, but both were looking forward to being parents. So, they concurred that they would see how it goes...(**players note: I recently installed the risky woohoo hack**)

So for a while they just enjoyed trying.

And without delay Cosette was begining to feel the effects of what could be a pregnancy.

After working a long and extra difficult shift, Cosette came home and immediately discovered that she was definitly carrying their first child.

Unable to contain her excitement, Cosette called everyone she knew to tell them the news.

Lucky for her, pregnancy was bliss. Not a single need out of whack, Cosette had a very mild pregnancy.

At least it was mild until she started to go into labor. Though like her pregnancy, the delivery was easy and quick.

Happily the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter they named Elsa.

Elsa was a doll, and the new #1 focus of her parent's lives.

The time had come for Elsa to have a birthday, and her loving, doting parents threw her quite the shindig.

Family and friends gathered around the little one as Franz craddled her in his arms and sang his best rendition of "Happy Birthday".

Round 12: Trey and Paige

Last week was the first update for this household, and it was an eventful one for Trey Cipriani, not only did he meet the sim that made him question his devotion to his romance aspiration, none other than the beautiful townie Paige Cedar. She moved in under the premise that he had a room for rent and she desperately needed a place. By the end of the round, Trey and Paige had discovered the love that they shared and Trey found the courage to propose.

This week opens with Trey catching a present for his wife to be.

Ain't he just the sweetest thing??

Of course, she had to let them go so they could live, but it was just another piece of evidence that Trey was the perfect man for her. Despite the fact that he had sewn his wild oats, and by nature was not a one woman sim, Paige had no doubts left in her mind about his commitment to her.

Planning for their wedding commenced and Paige hit the shops to find the perfect dress, dragging along her best friend (and RL mom) Ruby Cedar, to help her.

It took a couple of stops, but the two found a couple of awesome dresses.

Paige tried them on, exhausted she finally made her decision...which will be revealed later in the update.

Lucky for Paige, she and Trey had recently had a new pool put into their back yard and it was the perfect place to hang out and just relax.

She jumped in first thing when she got home from the shops.

Trey arrived home later that day with good news. He had reached the top of his career and at the same time had fulfilled his LTW of becoming a professional party guest. Also, he decided that now that he had made it through the slacker career track that it was time for a change. Trying something new, Trey opted to start a second career in music. Hearing splashing from the backyard, he knew right where to find Paige.

Right away, he joined her in their new pool for a swim. The wedding was planned for just a couple days from then and the couple decided to just relax and have fun until their big day.

When the big day was upon them, neither could believe that it was actually happening.

Paige was stunning, and Trey could not have looked more handsome.

The ceremony was lovely.

Amazingly, Paige had tamed the wild man in Trey. It still boggled his mind...he had never thought that this moment would actually come. But now that it had come and past, he was certain that she would hold his attention for the rest of his life.

After the wedding things quieted down for the couple. The excitement of new love was still in the air, but the hustle and bustle of planning the wedding was behind them. They both enjoyed the fact that they could fall into the regular routine of life as Mr. and Mrs Cipriani.

Things couldn't have been better, aside from a slight flu like sickness Paige had been experiencing.

Turns out it wasn't the flu at all. Paige was expecting their first child!

Excited at the prospect of becoming a father so unexpectedly, Trey was sure to pamper and care for Paige throughout her pregnancy.

Though that was easier said than done. Paige was having a rough pregnancy. If she wasn't hungry or tired or having to pee, she was all three at once! Her sleep was disturbed by vivid dreams. Thankfully it wasn't long before she was ready to have the baby.

The baby decided to make it's apperance in the middle of their breakfast one morning.

And the source of Paige's extra difficult pregnancy was discovered. She had been carrying natural twins (a boy and a girl). Welcome Adam and Iris!

At first, fatherhood was harder than it had first seemed for Trey. But after a bit of coaching from Paige...

...he had become a dynamo at caring for the twins.

It felt like only yesterday that they were born, but it was time for the twin's birthdays.

Poor Trey was in the wrong place at the wrong time...thankfully he survived!

Round 12: Hart Family

Last week in this house Betsy Jayapalan moved into her own home after college. Deciding she would open a flower shop on the first floor of her new place. It was a success, but Betsy was lonely. After reigniting and old college flame, Betsy married Matthew Hart. The couple expanded their home and were preparing for the arrival of their first child.

Neither rain nor shine nor pregnancy could stop Betsy. She could be found hard at work in her flower shop for the begining of this round.

Matthew begged her to take a couple of days off, to relax and get ready for the baby, but Betsy just laughed him off and told him not to worry.

As fate would have it when she went into labor, it happened in the middle of the store.

Betsy gave birth to not one baby, but two. Natural twin boys Dante and Randal were born.

And finally, Betsy agreed that she should take a little time off to spend with Matthew and the boys.

In the meantime, Matthew took over for Betsy. Tending to her garden, and running the shop.

All the while he still had to work his usual 9-5.

At the end of the first few days of his hectic routine, Matthew found a new appreciation for his wife and all that she did.

The boys kept Betsy and Matthew busy, but thinkingt that she had enough of staying home all the time, Betsy got a job outside of the house as an adventurer.

The timing worked out well with Matthew's job and they did nto require the help of a nanny. One parent or the other was able to be home with the boys at all times.

Though the next chance they had to spend time with the four of them together was not until it was time again for the boys to grow up.

Another interesting tid bit from the Hart family...Betsy was my first sim to try to juice a boot.

The results were...interesting...

Everything from electrocution to histarical laughter and a couple other strange expressions later, Betsy was no worse for wear!

Round 12: Terrano Family

Last week in Aiden and Sharon's house Sharon sold several pups bringing her LTW total a bit closer to 20 at 7 raised to adulthood. Wes was a toddler and then a child. Cinamon had a litter ot three pups. Baby #2 Jeremy was born.

This week starts as last week did with the one remaining adult dog being sold to a good home.

Sharon, kept busy not only with raising her sons, and the dogs, decides that she wants to test out her green thumb.

She goes right to work with little Jeremy at her side.

Before long, Sharon had a marvelous garden and decided it was time to invite the Head of the garden club by to see if she could be admitted as a member.

And she is accepted, but not at the highest honor. Sharon was told that she needed a larger garden with more decoration...maybe some other day. But she now recieves the discounts and benefits of being a member, and got a bonus of 661 simoleans.

Round 12: The Bratford Family

Last week in this household Ava had several dates (per usual for her) and reached her LTW of becoming a Professional Party Guest. Posie and Willa became children. Monica reached her LTW of becoming a Mad Scientist.

This week starts with a change of heart.

Ava had rejected Gerard Taylor's proposal of marraige several times, though he had eventually stopped asking leaving Ava to wonder...

Durring his weekly visit with their daughter she was overcome with emotion. Gerard was handsome, successful, and smart...and he was the father of their child. What more could she have ever wanted? Ava was begining to question her choices. Several years older than Gerard, Ava could have blamed it on their age diffrence, but it was really about her selfish desires. She had wanted to be free to date whomever she pleased...and had never planned to have any children. Over time, as her daughter was growing older, Ava could see Gerard in her and it made her miss what could have been.

So, on complete impuse, Ava asked Gerard to marry her. Shocked, he could hardly respond...and he almost said no on principal, but he loved Ava and Willa. This was the chance that he needed, that he had been wishing for.

And with that the three of them, soon to officially be the Taylor family, decided to find a home of their own. Though Ava loved living with her sister, she needed this to solidify her new path in life. So they moved into their own home. (**watch for the Taylor family update to come later this round to find out what is happening with these three).

Round 12: Darryl and Marriah

Last week in Daryl and Marriah's house the couple had a quiet week like they hadn't experiened since the birth of their daughters. They had a date at Londoste and celebrated their golden anniversary with their closest friends and family.

The start of this week brings Cosette and Elise back home, both graduating from University. With their arrival, Daryl acchieves perma plat status by reaching his LTW of graduating three children from college.

The first thing on both girl's agendas is to have their boyfriends over to meet their parents. Elise plans to stay with her parents, carrying on the family name in the family home. Just before Rob and Elise's wedding, Franz Cedar (Cosette's boyfriend) had found the courage to ask Daryl for his youngest daughters hand in marraige.

Of course Daryl approved, Franz was an impressive young man with an established military career. He couldn't have picked a better one for Cosette if he had done it himself. Not wanting the poor kid to sweat, Daryl immediately concured.

And though it took him a day or two to come around and find the courage to actually ask Cosette, Franz finally popped the question and she said yes!

Another wedding was in the works.

These two had another breathtaking afternoon wedding. They commited themselves to eachother...

...and had barely had the rings on their fingers and their "I do's" said when they were off to their honeymoon and then moved into a home of their own on the Island. We will catch up with these two in the Cedar family update making a first appearance later in this round.

Rob and Elise decided to forgo their honeymoon due to Elise feeling a little under the weather. You see, after getting engaged, these two had been rather excited to start their lives together...

...resulting in Elise being pregnant with the couple's first child. The pregnancy was confirmed not long after the wedding.

The couple was excited for their new family, and looked forward to welcoming their first baby...

Or should I say babies?

Yup I should say babies. They eagerly awaited the impending arrival of cheesecake twins.

Though Elsie couldn't yet get a job, Rob went right to work on his LTW in the athletic career field.

It wasn't that Elise wasn't dying to get out there and use her newly recieved degree, it would just be a short time before she could get out into the job market.

Soon it was time for the babies to make their appearance.

Elise had a boy and a girl. Welcome Gared and Genevieve Jayapalan!

Excited about the new babies, the first grandchildren for Daryl and Marriah, the house was a buzz with excitement.

Not wanting to miss a minute of his new grandchildren's lives, and also so Elise could begin her job hunt, Daryl decided it was time for him to retire. He was getting to old to be a professional party guest anyhow.

The two had such a great time talking at dinner and then while they played a game of pool and a few hands of poker that they forgot the time. They found that they could relate to eachother on several diffrent levels (other than simply a mutual physical attraction). And as cautious with his fragile heart as he was, Miles decided to make a move.

He asked Ruby back to his place for the night. It was late, and he did not want her walking home alone, better the two of them head back to his place. And she agreed.

He was a complete gentleman. He even asked if she would stick around in the morning and meet his kids (they wouldn't have to know that she stayed the night). He also asked if she was comfortable with joining them for Laurana's birthday party. Smitten, Ruby agreed.

The next day, the kids were welcoming to Ruby. And when it came time for Laurana's party everyone was getting along great.

Round 12: Miles Cipriani (Page 1 of 2)

Last week in this house. The update was a busy one, Thomas transitioned to a child and then a teen, Sarah activated servo Jeeves, Laurana became a toddler and then a child, Gwen became a teen, Miles purchased another lot making the family business total a whopping 5, beloved father and grandfather Nolan passed on.

Upon entering the house this week, Sarah was where I had left her in the wee hours of Monday morning (**players note: again this is me admitting that I skipped out of the house a couple hours early, anxious to get on to the next house...anyway...).

Stargazing.

When she noticed something, what she thought was a shooting star. Surprised and excited, she tried to get the attention of her family. With them all inside the house none noticed her excited shouts, she sat for a moment and watched as the falling star became larger and larger...until it no longer looked like a falling star. But before she could run...

...she was smushed!

(**players note: this is the first time in my long history of simming that this death has happened!! I was pumped, and sad at the same time)

The loud crashing noise startled Miles and the kids and when they ran out to see what the comotion was they saw their mother underneath the fallen satelite. All of them in complete shock and disbelief, they watched as the grim reaper went about his business. None could find words to beg for her life...all were completely dumbfounded.

After his wife's sudden and tragic death, Miles was devistated. He was thrown into a depression unlike any that he had experienced.

He moped around the house for a while in his pajamas distraut and unsure of what to do next, until his mother stepped in.

Nancy had loved her daughter in law dearly, and knew how hard her passing had been on her son, but she also knew that she could not let him continue to mope around. He was a grown man with four businesses, a career in the military, and three children to look after.

After their talk, Miles seemed to perk up. He knew that he could not change the fact that he had lost Sarah, but he could go on with his life as she would have wanted.

Immediately Miles went back to work. He had recently purchased his fifth community lot business and had barely had the chance to work there as losing Sarah came suddenly after he had opened the new shop.

Rose Island Real Estate Office

Thinking that it was a lucrative business, Miles decided to take the chance and get into real estate. He had become quite the business mougul and was ready for a true challenge. Though he had not spent much time there, he was able to set things up a bit before Sarah passed.

A few weeks prior....

Miles had set up shop and started to sell the few properties that he had managed to aquire. Business was going well, but he soon discovered that the demand for property was higher than he had anticipated. He needed help, and fast!

Miles knew just the person he needed to help him make this a successful venture. She was lovely and talented. She would be perfect as his secratary, helping to aquire properties and draw in customers with advertising. Though her being his employee would be a challenge for him due to their extreme chemistry (3 bolts), he was a married man after all. But the risk was worth it. He needed someone of her calibur.

Lucky for Miles, she had accepted the postition. Ruby Cedar was his newest employee.

She went to work immediatley and was secretly thrilled to work for Miles. Ruby had never felt attraction like the kind she felt for Miles. Though he was married and she would never, could never knowingly break up a happy marraige, she was happy to be his right hand woman in the most lucrative business he owned.

Back in the present...

It had been far too long since Miles had been to work. He had clinets lined up and had pushed the appointments back far enough.

Ruby had worked alone for the first little while. And his first day back had been too busy and stressful for her to even mention how sorry she was to have heard about Sarah.

But when she finally did have the chance, Miles was absolutely charming. He claimed that he was working through the loss and was glad to be back to work...and glad to see her. Not sure what to make of the situation, Ruby readied her things and said goodnight while Miles closed up shop.

Though when he got home that night more bad news awaited him.

At 78 sim days old, his mother Nancy passed on of natural causes.

With the double loss weighing on him, Miles had nothing to do but to take his mother's advice and get to work. The next afternoon, after a shift at the military base, Miles made his way to his toy shop.

He was pleased to see he could depend on his employee Shaunna Phisher (aka sim me) to take care of the shop for him. And deciding to forgo the stops he needed to make at the other shops, Miles headed dowtown for a drink.

And as fate would have it, Miles ran into Ruby as he made his way into Rodney's Hideout. It did not take even a moments thought, he quickly asked her to join him for dinner.

Round 12: Cipriani-Sharpe Family

Last week in the Cipriani-Sharpe household Ben reconnected with his ex wife Starla after the passing of her second husband. Eden became a lovely teen. Ben activated Zola the servo as a last hope of someone to continue caring for Eden after he was gone.

We start this week as we started the last. Ben and Starla are still spending alot of time together, but as previoisly mentioned, do not want to bother with getting married again this late in life.

And Ben also puts time into trying to help Zola understand that she will be sole caretaker of Eden when he passes.

His passing is the only thing that he can seem to think of. He makes sure to say his goodbyes to his sons, and to Eden.

Tired of his brooding mood about death and leaving her behind, Eden decides to put her foot down and confront Ben. And her words actually hit home. He had raised a smart, responsible, and beautiful young woman.

After their little talk, Ben decides to install a pool in the back yard.

It is something he was glad he did. Eden had been right, he needed to focus less on the end and more on the journey to it.

Though, just as he was learning to enjoy himself again, his time comes all too soon...

And no matter how hard he had tried to prepare her for it, Eden took his passing really hard. Ben had been everything to her...a father, a mother...her entire support system.

And without Ben there to guide her hand, Eden began to act out.

She started with deactivating Zola so that she could sneak out with her boyfriend Joel.

And ended up in a bit of deep water for it.

But the worst part was that there was no one there to punish her...no one there to tell her right from wrong.

Knowing that she needed a change in her life, Eden made the decision to head off to university.

First, she reactivated Zola and made her appologies.

Next, she had someone else to appologize too. Knowing that he would be disappointed in her crushed Eden, but she could not undo what was already done.

Unsure if she would be coming back to this house in her lifetime, Eden sent the graves of her loved ones to the new Chruch on the Island St. Roses'.

Then all that was left was to pack some of her things and head off to Academie Le Bloom.

This was a chance at a fresh start. A chance to discover who she was and what she wanted from life. Though she would have to go it alone, Eden was as ready as she could ever be.

Round 12: Cipriani-Landchild Family

Last week in the Cipriani-Landchild household twins Josie and Joel grew into toddlers and then children. Kendal invited the headmaster and got both kids into private school. Edward Landchild passed on, and with the passing of her husband, Starla seemed drawn to her ex, Ben.

The first note of the week was that little Josie was a skilling machine. Before her transition to teen this little one maxed several skills (my first child to ever max any skills).

She makes me so proud *grins*.

After some consideration (and a bit of player boredom), Kendal decides that she wants to purchase a community lot business. So, she decides to see what is available. After some thought she decides on purchasing Cafe Petite.

The family works together at the cafe and it becomes a local favorite for coffee and pastry.

After some schmoozing with customers and some sales, the business is level 3.

The rockstar that she is, Josie spends her spare time getting a few more skills maxed.

But being a pleasure sim, Josie was ready to get out on the dating scene, though she has not met any decent potential dates, so you know what that means...

Matchmaker time!

And he is not so bad, meet Jessie Parker. but things didn't go as well as Josie had planned, so it is probably Jessie's last visit...heh.

Joel on the other hand, had no trouble finding love...

...in none other than the girl next door (or across the street in their case) Eden Sharpe.

The two had a three bolt chemistry, so it didn't take long for Joel to get the courage and ask her to be his steady girlfriend and to get his first kiss.

Starla and Ben continued to see eachother. Spending time together was enough for these two. They considered making it official again, but felt it was just not something they needed to do to know that they loved eachother.

Round 12: Barthalet Family

Last week in the Barthalet household all we did was celebrate birthdays, well let me just say that will never happen again! I have several birthdays to report, but promise to add at least a few other tid bits from the families daily life. To recap the previous week, Olivia transitioned to a child, Claire was born became a toddler and then a child, cheesecake twins Audry and Abram were born and became toddlers, Fiona became a teen, and we closed with Sophia expecting baby # 6!

With Fiona's help with learning his skills, the family cat Bosco reaches TOC one day before he becomes an elder (one down, five to go to reach Fiona's LTW of having 6 pets reach TOC).

Now he can retire!

At this point, I am starting to get the feeling that Sophia is tired of having children the natural way, though she is a rare sim that I want to get an IW for. That means after this little bun in the oven, she will need four more to reach her goal. Maybe adoption is in order? Though not at the moment...this one is on the way!

And while mom was busy having Madaline, dad was busy helping the twins Audry and Abram learn the rest of their skills before it was time for them to become children.

Big sisters Fiona and Olivia also pitched in to help once in a while.

Though Olivia got a break from her siblings after finding a job in the cullinary field flipping burgers.

With a little break from being pregnant, and all of the helpers she had at home between Joseph, Fiona, and Olivia, Sophia finally found time for herself and decided to spend it at her mother's store.

It had been a while since the store had anyone able to run it, so business was slow at first.

But Sophia found her niche and was back making sales in no time.

And before long, customers were lining up like they used to. It was a good oportunity for Sophia to get back out into the world. She had spent so much time raising her family that she had neglected herself. The memories of her mother were strong at the store and Sophia loved every minute she spent there.

Back at the house it is time for the twins and Madaline's birthday transitions, and with so much going on in the house there was no time to throw a party together...honestly, their birthdays sorta snuck up on me!

Round 11: University

Last time at Academie Le Bloom University the three Jayapalan girls (Betsy, Elise, and Cosette) were our students. Betsy graduated and went off to start her life back on the Island, and Elise and Cosette were ready to finish their last two years of school. No new students came to uni this round.

Upset and hurt by the rejection Rob had given her last time, Elise was hesitant to see him again. But seeming to know his mistake, Rob was persistant in calling Elise to ask her for a second chance. (**players note: Rob really did call Elise a couple of times to ask her out on a dte...these sims seem to just know somtimes...**)

She finally let him take her out after a couple times turning him down. The couple danced the night away at P.U.R.E. nightclub.

This time, Rob didn't dare turn away from her kiss.

And since they got the ball rolling, these two have been inseperable! No ring yet, but I think that these two might be planning something...

Cosette had recently realized her highschool crush on Franz Cedar. Luckily he reciprocated those feelings and the pair spent alot of time getting to know eachother better over Cosette's last two years at uni.

Yet, still no ring for Cosette. I am sure that these two will be married at some point in the near future. I also think that these two girls are rather old fashioned and are waiting for their men to pop the question vs. them taking the initiative.

Both girls plan to move in with their parents next round...let's hope these guys make their move soon!

Round 11: Trey Cipriani

This is another brand new house. Last week Trey Cipriani lived with his twin brother, and at the begining of this round he decided to move out on his own and give his brother's family room to grow. A romance sim to what seemed like the fullest extent Trey was engaged, unfaithful, caught cheating, and back in the dating game in no time last round. Though towards the end of the round he seemed to have sobered some on his romantic relationships, envying the love that his brother and Stella shared.

Trey's first order of business was to purchase a home. He hadn't expected things to be so pricy, but he got what he could afford.

Then, for the extra cash and a little company, he put an ad in the paper for a roomate. Let's just say he was not expecting the response that his ad got him...

Paige Cedar checked the ad...this was the place. She had been living in apartments with friends for a while and when her roomate had moved out suddenly, Paige was left with a rent bill that was too high for her to pay on her own.

That's what had led her to Trey's ad.

And what ultimately led her to Trey himself.

He couldn't believe his eyes. This stunning beauty was the only one to have answered his ad.

He showed her around the place, where her room would be, and all of the other essentials. But he may have come on too strong. It seemed as if Paige had the wrong idea about him...though his nature was to come on strong, he had never meant to offend her.

He was really trying to be on his best behavior, but Paige didn't seem to thrilled by the end of the tour. They discussed costs, and details, and Paige let him know that she would call him to let him know for sure. He made sure she knew that if another offer came along, he would have to take it, though secretly, he knew he would wait for her call.

A while passed and Trey never heard from Paige, though he had also not yet filled the room. She had been his only applicant, and he had been too lazy and cheap to continue running the ad in the paper. As luck would have it he ran into Paige. They made small talk and he hinted to her that the room was still available if she wanted. Reluctantly, Paige explained that she would take the room. She had not been able to find anything that she could afford and she was getting down to the wire on her current apartment.

So she moved in without delay. Things were a little akward at first, but the two became fast friends. There was even a little attraction on both sides of the friendship (though neither would admit to it).

Things went along fine for a while. Trey had several dates (per usual) and Paige went about her business working as a freelance web designer.

Paige even got along well with several of Trey's "friends". She had met alot of new people and was starting to feel at home on the island.

But while Paige was making friends, Trey was tiring of all of the women in his life. His main girl since college had been Emily Lee, but even she had seemed to lose her luster...his thoughts were always on Paige.

But though they slept apart and led fairly seperate lives under the same roof (seeing eachother only in the kitchen at meal time), Trey found himself more attracted to Paige every day. He even had dreams about her.

The next morning he tried to come clean to Paige about how he was feeling. He started off with how happy he was that she had moved in (he really felt that he had learned so much about her...mainly that she was more than just a pretty face). Paige concured. She couldn't think of a better place to have ended up, and she was glad that they had become such good friends. That, to Trey was the nail in the coffin. Friends...well, what if he wanted to be more than that? Would it ruin their friendship? Was he really ready to profess his undying love to just one woman? With all of the questions running through his head, Trey decided to leave things as they were and go on with his day.

That afternoon, Paige had a horrible day at work. A bad chance card had sealed her fate and everything she had worked for was gone. She had been fired.

Trey saw her from the window of the house and he knew something was wrong. Immediatley he ran out to see what was going on.

He got to her and saw she had been crying. Immediately, and without thinking he tried to cheer her up. paige explained that she had lost her job and she didn't have to say...he knew she was pretty upset about it. That job had her on the path to reaching her LTW.

Trey did his best to console her and explain to her that she would find another job, a better one.

Without thinking, he grabbed her hands and found himself gazing into her eyes. Stopping suddenly, he offered to make her some lunch to help cheer her up.

Lunch was relaxing, and talking with Trey got things off of her mind for a while. But after lunch, Paige retrated to her room for some privacy and time alone to think.

There was something about Trey that she really liked. The way he came to her when she got out of work, comforted her and made her feel better about herself. It was a part of him that she had not seen enough of. The two were best friends, but there was something more there. She had even noticed that he had not been on a date in a while.

While Paige contemplated him, Trey contemplated her. She was captivating, and he had never been more attracted to another sim...and in every way (these two are a three bolt couple). He had done everything he felt he could to get Paige's attention, what he hadn't done was be direct with her.

Later that night, the two crossed paths in the hall, Trey had resolved to tell her how he felt, but couldn't get anything out that made sense. So, he gave her a compliment and a goofy thumbs up. Confused, Paige laughed it off and went to get ready for bed.

Embarassed, Trey kicked himself and went back to his room.

Even later that night, Paige ran into Trey in the hall again. This time she decided she would make the first move as he had been nothing but a nervous wreck around her.

The kiss was magic and the two were instantly head over heels with eachother, yet still shy to breech actually discussing their feelings.

And it was a little while of uncomfortable silence between them.

Amazingly, Trey found the courage to make the first...eh, second move. He asked her out on a real date. Paige, without hesitation, said yes.

He took her out for dinner and bolwing. The two laughed all night and had a really good time, both were glad that they had finally gotten their feelings out into the open. But where to go from here? Trey was getting older and if he planned to settle down, he would have to make his move (not something he had found easy to do lately).

Now that everything was out there, Trey decided he had nothing to lose. He did not want to spend another minute without Paige as his. He had spent long enough pining for her, and in a way she for him. He knew his past did him no justice, but he knew he could change, for her.

He popped the question. And she said YES!

Though his past concerned her, she was ready to give him the chance that he deserved. He had never done her wrong, and he was an amazing man.

Being engaged was a strange and wonderful thing. Excitment over took the couple as they began planning for their wedding. (Nice ring Paige, looks good on you! LOL!)

Accoplishments this round: Trey got roommate (Paige), the two spent the whole update dancing around that fact that they really liked eachother and ended up engaged (finally! *wink*)!

This will mark our very first visit to this lot, which Betsy Jayapalan has just purchased. She has just graduated from University with a degree in economics. Betsy was also a member of the Oresha Hoh Fruhm greek house. She wasn't much for dating in college aside from one guy named Matthew Hart. Deciding that her path laid in flowers, Betsy opend a small flower shop on the first floor of her new home.

For a while she did it all on her own. First by making the shop what it was, and filling it with flowers. It was so much more work than she could have ever imagined.

Selling her product came fairly naturally.

But combined with having to run the register and keep the shelves stocked, she knew she needed help. When she closed the store on her third day of business she admitted defeat. The next day she would find an employee.

And the perfect employee had walked through the door as one of the morning's very first customers. His name was Rob Cedar, and Betsy knew she had to hire him. He had been dating her younger sister Elise and so she had met him a few times.

He was easy enough to convince as Rob found Betsy rather fetching though he could never act on his feelings. He had been seeing her sister Elise, though things were a little rocky at times, he knew he wanted to persue their relationship in the future. But it didn't hurt that Betsy was nice to look at!

He accepted the position and went to work right away.

Having Rob around to help out gave Betsy time to actually do something other than run the shop. She had to find her social life...

So one afternoon she decided to invite Matthew Hart over. The two had dated in college and had become very close. Betsy hadn't realize how much she had missed him until she saw him wave to her from the front walk.

The couple sailed through a whirlwind romance. Now that she was a grown sim, Betsy realized that she had wanted to start a family of her own all along. And she couldn't think of a better sim than Matthew to do it with.

Betsy decided that she wanted to act now, so she invited her family over for dinner so they could have a chance to meet Matthew.

Things went as planned and everyone got along great, though Betsy was begining to feel cramped in her loft style apartment.

As everyone was leaving, Betsy pulled Matthew aside and asked him to move in. Her heart lept when he said yes. She had worried it had been too soon, but little did she know that Matthew had plans of his own.

The first thing the couple did was expand the house.

The new second floor was sparse for now, but it had a comfortably sized living space and three bedrooms.

And the expanded first floor added a kitchen for the home, and the flower shop was able to maintain most of it's original set up.

Matthew's plan had been right inline with Betsy's. It wasn't long until he was itching to start a family.

And the pair were set to be married that very Sunday.

The wedding was a success, and everyone had a great time.

After the honeymoon was over, Betsy and Matthew got their wish.

Betsy is expecting...

Round 11: Terrano Family

Welcome back, last week this house was named the Cipriani-Terrano Family, but has changed to simply the Terrano Family this week as the only remaining Cipriani has moved out (as you will find out in the update). Durring the last update Stella Terrano moved in and married Toby Cipriani (he took her name and is now Toby Terrano). The couple had two children who grew to toddlers, Lola was a natural birth to Stella and Toby, and Toby had son Milo as a result of an alien abduction. Trey was your average romance sim dating plenty of sims and breaking hearts in the process.

The week starts with Trey Cipriani deciding to move out on his own.

He had purchased the home with his twin brother after college, but with their rapidly growing family, Trey thought it was time for him to start a life on his own.

He would be missed, but would be only a phone call away.

(**players note: Trey has been added to the end of the round in his own lot, and he will get his own update accordingly**)

Though with Trey's departure, you might remember that there was an addition. In the previous update (Aiden and Sharon Cipriani) Stella took the liberty to purchase a pomeranian named Minni. She is a bit of a terror...see for yourself...

She howls at the stero,

destorys the furniture,

terrorizes the mailman (and any other passerby),

and rolls in filthy trash! It has been a struggle not to send her packing to the pound, but I have not had the heart. We are working on this behavior issue and hoping to resolve it soon.

With the house a little more empty (if not less quite due to Minni's destructive nature), the couple felt inspired to have just one more baby.

It didn't take long until #3 was on the way.

Next it is birthday time! The kids are not twins as Lola was a natural birth, and Milo an abduction, but they happen to have been born on the exact same day...kind of a pseudo set of twins!

Toby was hard at work trying to reach the top of the science career track.

He enjoyed hanging out with his son Milo and checking out the stars. He hadn't explained his sons origins to him, but planned to soon. Stella was his mother, if not by birth, then by love and so much more...that was all that mattered.

He was also interested in the wolf that continually visited the house. Meanalous was a pack leader, that much Toby could tell, but he did not fear him...instead he hoped to learn more about this mysterious creature.

Little Lola kept to herself for the most part. She was close with her family, but was encouraged to be shy and cautious from her mother.

Speaking of Stella...she was ready to have the baby.

The family led a pretty average life this week, hanging together and working on skills...before long little Talia was ready to become a toddler.
