Round 14: Sharpe Family

This is a new house...sort of...the last update was round 12 when Ben Cipriani (sole caretaker of his late fiance's illegitimate child Eden Sharpe) passed away and young Eden went off to university. As a player I am not sure of the rules on this pirticular issue, but am not going to stress, she is the heiress to the house, so she is getting the house (including the previous spot in the rotation).

You may remember the hosue looking something like this when Eden left for uni...

When she returned, she had the funds to expand the house. This was the result...

And tho more upgrades were planned for the future, the new layout allowed for a more updated and spacious feel.

It had been a while since Eden had been home and she did not realize how much she had missed it until she returned. First and foremost, she powered up her servo Zola and greeted her warmly. It was time to get settled in.

When everything was unpacked, Eden was exhausted, but she spent a minute before bed talking to Ben. Well, not actually to Ben, but to his painting. It was the closest thing she had to her father as his ashes had been sent to the cemetary when she left for college although she could feel his presence in the house watching over her and she was thankful for that.

The next morning Eden invited her hubby-to-be over for his first visit to what would be the home that they were planning to spend the rest of thier lives together in.

The week went along failry normally, Eden got a job in the Education field and was really enjoying being a teacher.

She spent most nights with Joel, he claimed he did not mind the commute from umiversity, so the two spent as much time together as possible planning for their wedding.

She even got a new hair do, a slight change, but it was the first time she had changed her look in years.

So it seemed that everything was just going to go smoothly up to the wedding, that is until...

Eden had not been feeling well for a while, chalking it up to a cold, she thought nothing of it. But when she came home from work one afternoon she knew that this couldn't be the flu.

When she was confirmed preganant, she and Zola made the call to Joel to break the news.

Thrilled at the unexpected turn of events, Joel rushed over to Eden's side.

Eden tried to relax through her pregnancy and actually found the down time very effective for skilling.

She was lucky to have the help and support of Zola.

And Joel made sure he was around as much as possible.

When the time came, the couple was blessed with a beautiful blonde haired daughter they named Courtney (also the first generation 4 baby in Rose Island!).

Soon, Joel would be back from college and Eden had Zola as an extra pair of hands until then. But she was glad for a few days "alone" with her daughter. For once she realized how hard it had been, and at the same time how wonderful for Ben when he raised her all on his own.

Accomplishments this round:
Eden gets a job in education, Courtney is born (first gen 4 baby).

Round 14: Owen and Kendal

Last week in Owen and Kendal's house Lolly the pup joined the family, Owen became and elder, Starla passed away, Owen got his LTW and TOC, Josie and Joel moved to college.

This week, Owen and Kendal are all alone in their house for the very first time. Though neither of them like it much that way and both miss their twins and their noise and mischief more than ever. And when we get to the house, there is no peace to be had as a birthday party for Kendal is underway...

And after a quick makeover...

Happy Birthday Kendal! Looks like you are still scaring with the best of 'em.

Reaching that time in their lives, Owen decided he would retire. He spent most of his time hanging out at the house and playing with Lolly and playing poker.

Kendal also retired, but not before reaching her TOC/LTW of becoming a professional pary guest. She then decided to put herself to work full time at Cafe Petite, the quaint shop she had purchased years before.

She put what little funds they had into a long overdue remodel.

And even hired a helper, a sweet young gal named Jenna.

Business was really booming for the first time since Kendal had bought the shop and she really enjoyed watching her little shop grow.

Back at home Kendal and Owen took it easy for a few days...the highlight of which was this all night card game with Owen's brother Aiden and his wife Sharon.

And at the end of the week they had a little get together to celebrate their golden anniversary.

Durring which Starla's spirit thought it a good time to come out and scare everyone, but it couldn't damper the happy mood.

The couple enjoyed their time alone and prepared for the return of their daughter Josie (heir to the household) the following week.

Accomplishments this round: Owen and Kendal have a quiet week alone, Kendal gets TOC/LTW, both Owen and Kendal retire from their 9-5's, Cafe Petite is Rank 5.

Round 14: Barthalet Family

Last week in the Barthalet household the family adopted child #8 and 9 Jack and Melanie, Madeline became a child and then a teen, Audry, Abram and Michael became teens, Joseph and Sophia became elders, Abram had a brush with death and was saved by his mother, and Audry and Abram left for uni.

This week started with the family reaching a huge milestone. They adopted their 10th child, toddler Thomas fullfilling Sophia's IW.

Sophia thought that diapers and bottles were behind her, but when she met Thomas, he charmed he so that she couldn't imagine not adding him to thier family and she was glad that she did.

Little Jack had made a friend in neighbor Elsa Cedar. And it was no wonder he was starting to take an intrest in the girls...

It was time for his birthday!

Jack quickly took a job in the medical field and soon reached TOC in his teen career.

His older brother Michael also found success in his teen career as a gamer.

Sister Madeline also held a teen job in the cullinary field, but found herself more into meeting and spending time with the boys than working to reach TOC.

It wasn't long until she had her first kiss with townie Kennedy Day...but unsure how serious she wanted to get was soon onto another boy the next day.

Melanie took a job in journalism and quickly reached the top of her teen career.

One evening, her brother Jack brought home neighbor and coworker Jeremy Cipriani. Mel was immediately smitten and was excited to find that he seemed interested in her as well.

The two had a date downtown.

They also shared their very first kiss.

Joseph and Sophia threw a small party for their anniversary, inviting only their children.

And while the group was all together they got a family photo...
