Uni Round 3: Marriah Goes to College

So here I am, Marriah Swain, a full blown college student! I never would have dreamed, okay yes I did dream. But I am totally pshyced about school. The first thing I had to do (according to my sister Natasha) was to become a member of the Oresha-Hoh-Fruhm greek house. And that wasn't too difficult since the only current member is Nolan Cipriani, my nephew. I have to say that is a little wierd since he is older then me, but we are now family for better or worse.

When I moved in to the greek house, I kept myself busy updating the place. I may be into science and math, but I am also into style. My sister and Ben had left the old house in boring condition. No worries, I took the money from the fund that was stocked up for the house and really brought the place back to life. I mean, who is going to want to join a greek house with a run down interior!? No wonder there aren't many members. Maybe I can change that too. Anyway, take a look at the new interior of the house...don't even ask what it was like before!

Other than decorating, my mind was on school. But I did allow it to wander a bit...I missed Daryl, my boyfirend from highschool. When I had left for university, he still had nto decided if college was the right path for him. So, needless to say I was a bit lonely, though Nolan was decent company, he was NOT my boyfriend.

You can say that shock was the main emotion I had when I saw Daryl again. He had decided that he could not be without me. He was a late aplicant, but the university accepted him without question, and I immediately got on recruting him as a pledge of OHF.

We hung out every free moment we had. I liked nothing more than spending time with Daryl, and he was soon a full fledged member and resident at the greek house.

Daryl, on his own accord decided to give himself a makeover. He looks a little diffrent, but you know me...I love style and Daryl has what it takes. I am not sure what made him do it, but that night he proposed to me. I was shocked, it was so soon and we both had so much college in front of us, but I couldn't say no. Like my sister has said, "You don't find love, it finds you".

And if your wondering about Nolan (since I successfully hogged the spotlight this round), he got up the courage to ask that girl out again, and agian, and agian. Her name is Nancy, and they are now engaged! They have taught eachother alot, she even got him to switch his life focus...but I will let him tell you that story.

Cipriani: Lucien and Natasha

After college, Natasha Swain moved in with the love of her life, Lucien Cipriani. The two felt like they should start fresh, in a new home. Natasha did not feel comfortable starting a family in a home haunted by memories of Lucien's previous life, so they built a new one.

Lucien and Natasha were married in a beautiful backyard ceremony not long after settling in to their new home. All of their family and some close friends joined them. I'll let Natasha tell you the rest...

It was the most amazing day of my life. Lucien and I had both had a difficult time the past few years, and who would have thought we would end up together. Some say that he is too old for me, but in a way I grew up long before my time. Life after the wedding was just as great. Lucien was like a new man. His sons, my new step sons, could hardly believe the change they saw happen in their father. Though some would not have been so welcoming, Ben and Nolan credited me with their father's new lease on life.

It was just a few short weeks after the wedding that I found out we were expecting a baby. I worried a little that Lucien wouldn't be ready. He had not been a father in a long time, but he welcomed it whole heartedly. If anything, it made him even more happy! And I could not hide my excitement. Ever since my parents passed away, leaving me to care for Marriah, I had wanted a family of my own. We started planning right away for our impending arrival.

Another arrival, one that was even less expected was that of Dane our rascal of a mutt I had brought Mystic with me when moving in with Lucien. Marriah is truly her master, but needed me to look after her while she was away at college. But Dane came along a bit later. Lucien had noticed Mystic and Dane frolickng in the yard one afternoon. When he tried to locate his owner, he had been unsuccessful. Dane was a stray, but not for long. He warmed his way into our hearts and he now has a home and family with us.

And then it happened, when I least expected it. Our new baby was on the way, and my loving husband was at work! I had to deliver her myself, but am pleased to announce that we have our first daughter, Ava Cipriani.

Cipriani: Ben and Starla

Ben Cipriani here, and that photo of me is of the moment I became an official adult. I graduated college with a 4.0 and a degree in Literature. Hopefully I can get a job that will help me reach my life long goal of becoming a criminal mastermind. As you may recall, I asked my girlfriend Starla to be my wife, and I can't wait to get married. But the first order of business was to find a home for us to live in back on Rose Island.



We didn't have much choice as there were currently only two homes on the island and both were occupied, so we built our own. We picked the lot right across from my childhood home and commissioned a contractor to build our love nest. I never knew it would be so pricey to build and once the house was up, our starting funds were severely drained. But we didn't need much to start, just each other.



It didn't take long for me to become a fairly successful criminal and the money started coming in. Starla also took a job. Her beauty and personality could not be out done, so she quickly found work as a commercial actress. But soon found the world of the rich and famous was too much for her. Deep down, Starla was a small town girl who just wanted to raise a family. (**players note: I thought it was funny that Starla was celebrating her return from work the day that she was fired...gotta love those family sims, always happy to make a buck!)



Despite the set back with Starla losing her job, we were finally able to afford the wedding that we both had been waiting for since our sophomore year of college. It wasn't much, but it was certainly official.



We were both glad to be married, but Starla wanted to have a baby right away. I, on the other hand, thought that we should wait until we were more financially sound. And so we compromised. We purchased a pair of cats to pacify Starla's desire for a baby, and to practice our parenting skills a bit.



Pasha, a sweet white Persian, and Armand a feisty American Shorthair.



The cats keep us busy for the moment, what with training them and simply adjusting to having them in our lives. Already they have both grown on Starla and I, but they have yet to grow on each other. Maybe I am more ready for a baby than I thought! Ah, we will have to wait and see won't we? In the mean time here are a couple cute pictures of our "babies" Armand and Pasha.

Uni Round 2: Nolan Goes to College

We find ourselves back at Academie Le Bloom, for the moment at a small dormitory. With the newest university student, Nolan Cipriani. And since we have yet to hear from this resident of Rose Island I will let him update you on the second round of university life. Take it away Nolan!



Um...hi everyone, I'm Nolan. I started college life out in the dorm, but it didn't take long for me to get accepted to the Oresha-Hoh-Fruhm greek house. My brother Ben and my dad's girlfriend Natasha are the founders of the house, so you could say I was a shoe in.



Currently I am living in the greek house. My life goal is to take pleasure in everything I do. Mostly that means playing video games, jumping on the sofa, playing in the bathtub, and hanging in my pajammas all day. Stylish, aren't they? I even go to class in them!



It's cool to live with my brother Ben again. Ever since our mom died he has been there for me more than anyone. It is good to know I can still kick his butt at SSX 3.



Sometimes, I actually study. But then again I still have not choosen a major. I figure I wouold get all of my pre requisite classes out of the way and make a decision of what to do later. I mean, I have like four years...and that is pretty close to forever. So no rush.



I called the gypsy fortune teller to whip me up an insta-date. Some may say that this is the lazy man's approach to dating, but hey, I'm lazy so what's the harm? Although I hadn't had enough experience to know that I needed to save up some money and invest in the date...well, I had about as much luck as my dad did when he first hit the dating scene. Man, the chicks around here are harsh!



Well, it's not even worth telling you her name because she won't return my calls. And that about does it for my first few semesters at Academie Le Bloom. Maybe next time you stop by I'll have picked a major. I hear if I don't do it soon the university will choose for me. Hmmm...that could be interesting!

Swain: Third Rounds A Charm

You may remember me, I'm Marriah Swain. My sister Natasha has been keeping you updated lately, but now that she is off to Academie Le Bloom I guess it is my turn. I have been doing fine on my own. It is kind of a relief to have Natasha out of my hair for once. Not that I don't love my sister and respect her for raising me alone, a girl just needs her space sometimes.



I take care of myself just fine and have my loyal pup Mystic to protect me and keep me company. Her job as a security dog has helped me pay the bills without sacrificing my education. And my education is my top priority seeing as I have devoted my life to knowledge and dream of someday maxing out all of my skills.

And I met a boy! He is the dreamiest guy! His name is Darryl Jayalapan and I am totally smitten. I've never thought about boys much as I am always too involved in my studies, but Darryl is the only one I will drop everything for.



He asked me to be his girlfriend and I couldn't have been happier to accept. I may be a bit shy, but Darryl just brings something out in me that I never knew was possible.



Natasha stops by now and then from college when she has the time. Usually she just makes sure I am keeping up with my school work and finds the places in the house I have neglected to clean. But she is like a mother to me. At least the only mother figure I can remember.



Plus she makes excellent spaghetti and meatballs. She claims that it is our mother Claudia's recipe and that someday she will give it to me.



I've kept busy with my studies, and training Mystic so that she can get her promotions. I taught her to play dead and it is absolutely the most hilarious thing I have ever seen!



Other than that, I will be ready to head off to Academie Le Bloom soon. Natasha has promised to take care of Mystic while I am away. I am so excited to further my education, I can only hope that Darryl will join me at university. He hasn't made his plans yet, but a girl can dream...oh yeah and I had my first kiss! It was wonderful...

Cipriani: Third Rounds a Charm

**player's note: Unfortunately I did not take many photos of this round (so some of them are duplicates from previous posts), and of poor Nolan Cipriani as a teen, though he is around for the duration of this update. He goes off to college at the end of round 3 so I promise more of him in the future. As far as the rest of the update...I apologize for the lack of photos!**

Once again, it's me Lucien. Things are finally going well for me. I actually feel like I have my life back. Especially since I think I have met a woman who can more than tolerate me! I thought that I would never be able to love again after Polly died, but this woman is amazing.

She is Natasha Swain. Several years younger than I am, I met Natasha while visiting my son at his greek house at Academie Le Bloom. Natasha is actually a member of the greek house and is the same age as my oldest son Ben. It may seem strange to some, but to Natasha and I it couldn't be more right. I am hesitant to rush into anything due to my recent experiences with women, but all of the hesitation goes away when we are together.

As far as the rest of my life, things are good as I mentioned before. I have been able to avoid the bar and the poker tables completely as all of the free time I used to spend doing that is now devoted to Natasha. She graduates in a couple of years and we are planning for her to move in with me. I can't wait to start the rest of our lives together...I feel like a kid again,

As for my son Nolan, he has been doing well in school and heads off to Academie Le Bloom at the end of this week. I sure will miss him...I can't believe how far we have come since Polly's passing. Both boys now practically men!
