Round 11: Betsy Jayapalan

This will mark our very first visit to this lot, which Betsy Jayapalan has just purchased. She has just graduated from University with a degree in economics. Betsy was also a member of the Oresha Hoh Fruhm greek house. She wasn't much for dating in college aside from one guy named Matthew Hart. Deciding that her path laid in flowers, Betsy opend a small flower shop on the first floor of her new home.

For a while she did it all on her own. First by making the shop what it was, and filling it with flowers. It was so much more work than she could have ever imagined.

Selling her product came fairly naturally.

But combined with having to run the register and keep the shelves stocked, she knew she needed help. When she closed the store on her third day of business she admitted defeat. The next day she would find an employee.

And the perfect employee had walked through the door as one of the morning's very first customers. His name was Rob Cedar, and Betsy knew she had to hire him. He had been dating her younger sister Elise and so she had met him a few times.

He was easy enough to convince as Rob found Betsy rather fetching though he could never act on his feelings. He had been seeing her sister Elise, though things were a little rocky at times, he knew he wanted to persue their relationship in the future. But it didn't hurt that Betsy was nice to look at!

He accepted the position and went to work right away.

Having Rob around to help out gave Betsy time to actually do something other than run the shop. She had to find her social life...

So one afternoon she decided to invite Matthew Hart over. The two had dated in college and had become very close. Betsy hadn't realize how much she had missed him until she saw him wave to her from the front walk.

The couple sailed through a whirlwind romance. Now that she was a grown sim, Betsy realized that she had wanted to start a family of her own all along. And she couldn't think of a better sim than Matthew to do it with.

Betsy decided that she wanted to act now, so she invited her family over for dinner so they could have a chance to meet Matthew.

Things went as planned and everyone got along great, though Betsy was begining to feel cramped in her loft style apartment.

As everyone was leaving, Betsy pulled Matthew aside and asked him to move in. Her heart lept when he said yes. She had worried it had been too soon, but little did she know that Matthew had plans of his own.

The first thing the couple did was expand the house.

The new second floor was sparse for now, but it had a comfortably sized living space and three bedrooms.

And the expanded first floor added a kitchen for the home, and the flower shop was able to maintain most of it's original set up.

Matthew's plan had been right inline with Betsy's. It wasn't long until he was itching to start a family.

And the pair were set to be married that very Sunday.

The wedding was a success, and everyone had a great time.

After the honeymoon was over, Betsy and Matthew got their wish.

Betsy is expecting...

Accomplishments this round: Betsy's Boquets is level 5, Betsy hires Rob Cedar, Matthew Hart moves in, Matthew and Betsy are married.
