Last week in the Jayalapan household, Daryl reached TOC, we had three birthdays Daryl and Marriah became elders and Cosette became a teen. Marriah reached her IW and LTW of maxing 7 skills, and both Elise and Cosette headed to college.
This week starts with the happy couple enjoying thier golden years. With so much already accomplished, these two don't have alot left to do in the sense of earning points towards the challenge, so I let the have a fun week of relaxation...this will be their only chance as one of their daughters will be moving in next round after college.
It was quiet with all three of their girls out of the house, and Daryl siezed the moment. He asked his wife out on a date that would be their first since they had moved to the island from college.
They had a lovely dinner at Londoste in Rose City.
After dinner they danced to their favorite song. The two were still madly in love after all of these years.

Back at home, they planned for their anniversary party. The couple had a large extended family and hoped that they could all share their special day with them.
Luckily they had a great turn out and the party was a huge success.

Other than that the week was rather uneventful. Daryl reconnected with Ash, the cat he had purchased for his daughters when they were young. He hadn't had a very good relationship with her, but now he had more time on his hands, the two became close compadres.
He even taught him some new tricks!

And on the subject of family pets, it was a sad day when the Bindi passed on.
(I think it is time for Marriah to retire...that out fit just isn't the same on an elder...)
Accomplishments this round: Daryl and Marriah had a dream date and a great anniversary party. Bindi passed on.

How nive of you to give them a week to relax. I love the "new trick" I haven't accomplished that one yet. Poor Bindi, bye, bye. Um, yeah Marriah needs to retire and fast.
It true, after a certain age that outfit doesn't look at all pleaing...
I really like elder-only households, they're quite peaceful and calming, they really give the simmer a break! Awesome update!

Great update. I love for the Elders to still enjoy their lives... and dates are a great way to do it. Toilet training the cat was funny!
Hey, can I borrow Daryl for my house? If he can potty train a cat maybe he'll he can do the same for my stubborn three-year old!
