Round 11: Miles and Sarah Cipriani

Prevously this house was known as Nolan and Nancy Cipriani, and they have decided to pass the reigns over to their son Miles and his wife Sarah. So, from now on the house will be known and Miles and Sarah Cipriani. Last week in this household Miles was fired from his cullinary job for a bad chance card and took a new job in the milatary field, Gwen became a toddler and then a child. Second child Thomas was born and became a toddler. And at the last possible minute baby # 3 Laurana was born. Lets see what they have been up to this week.

Like many rounds this one begins with a birthday, but in this case it should have happened in the previous week. (**players note: for some reason I quit playing Sunday of round 10 instead of Monday...therefore Thomas's transition should have been noted in the end of the last update**)

And here is the little guy all fixed up with a new outfit and hair do. He doesn't seem too sure of his new look, but I have assured him it is better than what he transitioned into!

Thinking she could use a hand raising the kids (and so she could finally get a job), Sarah took the liberty of activating one of Nolan's creations. A servo she named Jeeves.

Jeeves took to the family immediately and was baking burnt cakes for them in no time (darn servo is going to make all my sims fat!!!).

Time for another transition. This time it is the baby in the family.

A few updates ago, you may remember that Nolan had purchased Inner Child Toys and Gifts for Miles. Well, he finally decided to turn over the deed.

Business was going well, and by the end of the week the shop had reached level 5!

Knowing his time was almost at an end, Nolan made one last trip to his art gallery.

It was a bitersweet day of work. This gallery had been his life long dream, and he was proud of himself for achieving it, but meloncholy about turning the deed over to Miles.

So, instead of dwelling on it, Nolan did what he did best one last time. He dazzled, and persuaded his customers. Durring Nolan's last visit, his gallery reached level 10! And when he returned home later the same day...

...he had a chance to say goodbye to his family before the inevitable happened.

At the age of 71 dear sweet Nolan passed on.

The family laid his remains to rest in their family plot next to his old pal Rascal.

Jeeves was settling in to the family quite well. He kept the house and children in line so well that he found some free time for himself. And in that free time he met Zola, servo to Ben Cipriani and Eden Sharpe.

The two servos hit it off immediately.

But their date ended strangley when Zola decided that she would play with the children's water wiggler. Big mistake...

With the passing of his father, Miles poured himself into his work, and the families businesses. He also had plans to pass the businesses on to Gwen, so he wanted to make them the best that he could before turning them over to her.

He even purchased yet another lot, Round Barn General Store.

And after only a few days of being open, Round Barn had reached level 5 and was recognized by Reporter Lisa Ebadi as Best of the Best.

The business that Miles resisted going to the most was his father's gallery. It had the deepest and most painful memories. But the manager of the shop had insited that Miles come by and help her run things for a while.

When he fianlly gave in and agreed to work at the gallery for a few shifts, he was glad he did. He felt comfortable in his fathers shoes...it wasn't nearly as painful as he had imagined. He had several repeat customers, all that had known and still praised his father.

One woman in pirticular caught Miles's eye. Her name was Ruby (none other than the creator of the Cedar Park prosperity challenge), that is all he knew about her, yet he was drawn to her somehow. The fact that had begun to frequent all three of his shops didn't help his curiosity about her.

She was beautiful and charming. Miles had a hard time avoiding her...and yes, due to their extremely strong (3 bolt) chemistry, Miles attempted to keep his distance. He had a lovely wife and a family that depended on him. Spending too much time with Ruby could jepordize that. Especially since he had been spending so much (his wife Sarah would say too much) time working.

But Miles wasn't the only one trying to avert their mind from Nolan's passing.

Nancy had poured herself into her novel which ended up becoming a best seller.

The family found some time together in the form of another birthday celebration.

It was an unusal occurence lately, but the family really did try to pull together and spend time together when they could. Nancy reminded the of the old simish motto "A family that skills together, stays together".
