Round 11: Trey Cipriani

This is another brand new house. Last week Trey Cipriani lived with his twin brother, and at the begining of this round he decided to move out on his own and give his brother's family room to grow. A romance sim to what seemed like the fullest extent Trey was engaged, unfaithful, caught cheating, and back in the dating game in no time last round. Though towards the end of the round he seemed to have sobered some on his romantic relationships, envying the love that his brother and Stella shared.

Trey's first order of business was to purchase a home. He hadn't expected things to be so pricy, but he got what he could afford.

Then, for the extra cash and a little company, he put an ad in the paper for a roomate. Let's just say he was not expecting the response that his ad got him...

Paige Cedar checked the ad...this was the place. She had been living in apartments with friends for a while and when her roomate had moved out suddenly, Paige was left with a rent bill that was too high for her to pay on her own.

That's what had led her to Trey's ad.

And what ultimately led her to Trey himself.

He couldn't believe his eyes. This stunning beauty was the only one to have answered his ad.

He showed her around the place, where her room would be, and all of the other essentials. But he may have come on too strong. It seemed as if Paige had the wrong idea about him...though his nature was to come on strong, he had never meant to offend her.

He was really trying to be on his best behavior, but Paige didn't seem to thrilled by the end of the tour. They discussed costs, and details, and Paige let him know that she would call him to let him know for sure. He made sure she knew that if another offer came along, he would have to take it, though secretly, he knew he would wait for her call.

A while passed and Trey never heard from Paige, though he had also not yet filled the room. She had been his only applicant, and he had been too lazy and cheap to continue running the ad in the paper. As luck would have it he ran into Paige. They made small talk and he hinted to her that the room was still available if she wanted. Reluctantly, Paige explained that she would take the room. She had not been able to find anything that she could afford and she was getting down to the wire on her current apartment.

So she moved in without delay. Things were a little akward at first, but the two became fast friends. There was even a little attraction on both sides of the friendship (though neither would admit to it).

Things went along fine for a while. Trey had several dates (per usual) and Paige went about her business working as a freelance web designer.

Paige even got along well with several of Trey's "friends". She had met alot of new people and was starting to feel at home on the island.

But while Paige was making friends, Trey was tiring of all of the women in his life. His main girl since college had been Emily Lee, but even she had seemed to lose her luster...his thoughts were always on Paige.

But though they slept apart and led fairly seperate lives under the same roof (seeing eachother only in the kitchen at meal time), Trey found himself more attracted to Paige every day. He even had dreams about her.

The next morning he tried to come clean to Paige about how he was feeling. He started off with how happy he was that she had moved in (he really felt that he had learned so much about her...mainly that she was more than just a pretty face). Paige concured. She couldn't think of a better place to have ended up, and she was glad that they had become such good friends. That, to Trey was the nail in the coffin. Friends...well, what if he wanted to be more than that? Would it ruin their friendship? Was he really ready to profess his undying love to just one woman? With all of the questions running through his head, Trey decided to leave things as they were and go on with his day.

That afternoon, Paige had a horrible day at work. A bad chance card had sealed her fate and everything she had worked for was gone. She had been fired.

Trey saw her from the window of the house and he knew something was wrong. Immediatley he ran out to see what was going on.

He got to her and saw she had been crying. Immediately, and without thinking he tried to cheer her up. paige explained that she had lost her job and she didn't have to say...he knew she was pretty upset about it. That job had her on the path to reaching her LTW.

Trey did his best to console her and explain to her that she would find another job, a better one.

Without thinking, he grabbed her hands and found himself gazing into her eyes. Stopping suddenly, he offered to make her some lunch to help cheer her up.

Lunch was relaxing, and talking with Trey got things off of her mind for a while. But after lunch, Paige retrated to her room for some privacy and time alone to think.

There was something about Trey that she really liked. The way he came to her when she got out of work, comforted her and made her feel better about herself. It was a part of him that she had not seen enough of. The two were best friends, but there was something more there. She had even noticed that he had not been on a date in a while.

While Paige contemplated him, Trey contemplated her. She was captivating, and he had never been more attracted to another sim...and in every way (these two are a three bolt couple). He had done everything he felt he could to get Paige's attention, what he hadn't done was be direct with her.

Later that night, the two crossed paths in the hall, Trey had resolved to tell her how he felt, but couldn't get anything out that made sense. So, he gave her a compliment and a goofy thumbs up. Confused, Paige laughed it off and went to get ready for bed.

Embarassed, Trey kicked himself and went back to his room.

Even later that night, Paige ran into Trey in the hall again. This time she decided she would make the first move as he had been nothing but a nervous wreck around her.

The kiss was magic and the two were instantly head over heels with eachother, yet still shy to breech actually discussing their feelings.

And it was a little while of uncomfortable silence between them.

Amazingly, Trey found the courage to make the first...eh, second move. He asked her out on a real date. Paige, without hesitation, said yes.

He took her out for dinner and bolwing. The two laughed all night and had a really good time, both were glad that they had finally gotten their feelings out into the open. But where to go from here? Trey was getting older and if he planned to settle down, he would have to make his move (not something he had found easy to do lately).

Now that everything was out there, Trey decided he had nothing to lose. He did not want to spend another minute without Paige as his. He had spent long enough pining for her, and in a way she for him. He knew his past did him no justice, but he knew he could change, for her.

He popped the question. And she said YES!

Though his past concerned her, she was ready to give him the chance that he deserved. He had never done her wrong, and he was an amazing man.

Being engaged was a strange and wonderful thing. Excitment over took the couple as they began planning for their wedding. (Nice ring Paige, looks good on you! LOL!)

Accoplishments this round: Trey got roommate (Paige), the two spent the whole update dancing around that fact that they really liked eachother and ended up engaged (finally! *wink*)!
