Round 10: Cipriani-Bratford Family

Last week was our first visit to the Cipriani-Bratford household. Sisters, Ava and Scarlet Cipriani decided to purchase a home together after college. Scarlet was ready to settle down with her girlfriend Monica Bratford, the two were married and planning for their first child. Ava onthe other hand, was living and loving life to the fullest. **player note: I used boolProp to get Monica pregnant with Scarlet's baby. Not sure if it was a rules issue, but I was dying to see a baby with their combined genetics, so FYI :) **

The round starts with Monica researching this new "procedure" Scarlet had been talking about. She was skeptical that something so unheard of and cutting edge could be safe. But her research confirmed that it was legit.

Monica shared her decision with Scarlet. She was ready to have their baby.

Scarlet quickly made an appointment, and the insimination was completed quickly and easily.

As soon as she got home from work, the day after the appointemnt, Monica began to feel the tell tale signs of pregnancy. She couldn't wait to share the news with Scarlet. The two were so excited they began to plan for the baby right away.

Meanwhile...

Ava had a date with the one guy she truly had feelings for, Gerard Taylor. The two had met in college and Gerard had fallen head over heels for Ava. And though she held a special place in her heart for him, she never wanted to commit. Gerard had even talked of marraige and a family, but neither subject interested Ava regardless of how much she cared for Gerard.

The two had their weekly date, and Gerard slipped out the next morning without waking Ava. He loved her, and it killed him to spend these nights with her knowing nothing would ever come of it. Yet he continued to see her whenever he could.

Ava had not thought to call Gerard for a few days, in fact he wasn't even a thought in her mind, but she was not feeling well, that was for sure. Little did she know that her thought was correct.

She was pregnant and she was sure it was Gerard's. He was the only man she had been with. With noone else to turn to, Ava turned to her sister Scarlet for guidance and advice. Scarlet simply told her to follow her heart and do what she thought was best. But that she should defenitly tell Gerard.

So that is just what she did. It didn't take her much thought to know that she did not want to get married, but she wanted her baby. If Gerard chose to be a part of their lives it would be fine with her, but she would never be able to commit. This confused and saddened Gerard, but he decided to support Ava and the baby in any way he could.

Pregnancy was kind to both moms, who were happy to have eachother to spend the days with.

The big day had arrived. First to deliver was Monica.

And Posie Bratford was born.

Later the same night was Ava's turn.

Another girl! Willa Cipriani was born.

Ava was true to her word, and allowed Gerard to have a relationship with their daughter Willa. He even went so far as to move into town after he had graduated from college (**player note: I made Gerard a townie by using the teleporter bush**). But Ava's feelings for him only degraded in the romantic sense. She had ended their weekly dates, opting for new company.

The three moms had been kept busy rotating who would get to go to work, and which of them stayed home with the girls each day. Between the tree of them they developed a comfortable routine. It wasn't long before a dual birthday party was underway.

The girls are doing well, as are the moms. They truly have turned out to be a great family regardless of their unconventional means!
